These terms apply to posolix.com and to the Posolix beta, including the API, webhooks, dashboard and email alerts (together, "the service"). By using the service you agree to them. If you use it on behalf of an organization, you agree for that organization.
The beta
The service is in beta. It's free during the beta, and it may change, break, lose data or be unavailable without notice. We may add or remove features, change limits, or end the beta. We'll tell beta members about pricing before any paid plans start, and nothing is charged without your agreement.
Accounts and API keys
- Give accurate details when you sign up, and keep your login and API keys secret.
- You're responsible for activity under your account and keys. Tell us right away if a key leaks, and revoke it in the dashboard.
- We may suspend or revoke access that breaks these terms or puts the service at risk.
Acceptable use
Don't:
- Exceed or work around rate limits, or share keys to get around them.
- Disrupt the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or access other users' data.
- Use the service to break the law or to mislead people, for example by presenting the data as official FDA or NIH information.
- Resell or give access to the service itself (for example, by reselling API access) without a written agreement with us.
You may build products on the data and show it to your users, provided you follow these terms and the terms of the original sources.
Data and sources
The data comes from public US government sources: ClinicalTrials.gov, Drugs@FDA and openFDA. We collect it, store versions of it and detect changes, but we don't create or verify it. It may contain errors, gaps or delays, including ones introduced by us. Always check important information against the official source. See the disclaimer for more.
Not medical or investment advice
Posolix is a data and notification service. Nothing it provides is medical, legal or investment advice. Don't use it as the only basis for decisions about health, treatment or investments.
Your content
Saved searches, subscriptions, webhook endpoints and other settings you create stay yours. We use them only to run the service for you.
Our property
The Posolix software, website, design and brand belong to us. The underlying public data is not ours, and nothing in these terms limits your rights to it from the original sources.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, completeness, availability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, or for decisions made using the service. During the free beta, our total liability for any claim is limited to 100 US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Ending use
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may end your access with notice, or right away for a serious breach of these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms, especially when paid plans start. We'll post the new version here and email beta members about significant changes. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
